Tool Length Sensors

Tool Length Sensors are used to determine the tool length in the Z direction. Both sensors WLS1 and WLS2 consist out of high-quality aluminum body, precisely manufactured, a low-wear stainless push-button and a build in microswitch.

In addition to the 1 mm travel for actuation the WLS2 has a sophisticated spring mechanism integrated which provides a further approx. 7 mm of spring travel. This safety travel protects the tool and the switch itself from destruction, for example if the ramp is too high.
